What is our Apprenticeship Program?

As an emerging artist with a passion for creative expression, the development of your professional skills and experience is essential to the achievement of your goals and the furthering of your career. This is where Spirit Juice Studios’ apprenticeship program comes in as a unique opportunity to grow in your craft while working in a focused, intense, and fast-paced program that will prepare you for work in our production environment. The overall goal of the program is to create and develop professional artists to crew our variety of productions and is intended for recent graduates and young artists employed in similar disciplines.

Taught by our dedicated specialists in each category (Emmy-award winning Directors, DP’s, Editors, Producers, and Colorists), this program will instruct each individual in the skills needed to succeed at Spirit Juice. While the program offers a variety of apprenticeship opportunities across multiple disciplines, the open availability will be determined primarily by our company needs.

Taking place at our Alsip studio (just south of Chicago), the program is an unpaid position but with the intent of taking participants that successfully complete it onto paid production roles on both a full-time or part-time basis. While in the apprenticeship, work will consist of practice projects and real client work under the supervision of the designated master instructor. Whether you are a recent graduate or you want to take your skills to a higher level, our Apprentice Program is an opportunity for you to grow in your professional career goals.

Who are we looking for?

Passion and potential both play equal parts in the requirements for this position. If you have a passion for film and digital content creation, and are looking for the right whetstone to polish your abilities, we are interested in having you join the program. Apprenticeships last between 4 to 12 weeks depending on the incoming skill level of the applicant. If the apprentice reaches the desired skill level before the entire designated time of the apprenticeship, Spirit Juice may offer a paid position before the official conclusion of the program.
