“Juice Box” Kickstarter Campaign
With an increasing number of young Catholics leaving the Church each year, we have launched a Kickstarter to raise funds to produce the first season of an online children’s show that will teach concepts of the Catholic faith to kids ages 2 to 6.
“The Catholic Church desperately needs higher quality children’s programming to help teach kids the basics of their faith in a compelling and age-appropriate way,” said Rob Kaczmark, CEO of Spirit Juice. “With two young sons of my own, I now realize that this content would be invaluable to me and many other Catholic parents, and I realized that Spirit Juice can help create it.”
The proposed show — known as “Juice Box” — features two lively hosts (Melinda Simon and Steve Angrisano) who unpack topics such as prayer, the Mass, the saints and other basic faith formation topics in the planned four episodes of the show’s first season.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign will receive a variety of rewards based on their backer level, including digital downloads of the episodes, supplemental teaching resources to accompany the episodes, Juice Box-branded socks from Catholic company Sock Religious, and more.
The campaign has 30 days to reach its funding goal or else it will not become a reality.
“I’m hopeful that Catholics will see the value of instilling basic faith formation in the youngest members of the Church so that these simple lessons can serve as a solid foundation as they continue to grow in their faith,” Kaczmark said. “I believe ‘Juice Box’ can provide the first steps in helping children to understand Church teachings so they will hopefully continue to stay active in their faith for the rest of their lives.”
