Catholic Chicago Radio – 12/30/2021

Spirit Juice Studios founder Rob Kaczmark recently appeared on Catholic Chicago Radio for a wide-ranging, hour-long interview with hosts Father Greg Sakowicz and Mark Teresi. The show aired on WNDZ 750 AM in Chicago and on the show’s YouTube channel on December 30.

They kick off the conversation by talking about Spirit Juice’s recent documentary “Gil Hodges: Soul of a Champion,” a half-hour documentary on the life and legacy of Catholic baseball player and Dodgers legend Gil Hodges. Featuring interviews with his peers and various baseball luminaries, the film chronicles his playing days as well as his impact as a husband and father. The documentary was released to wide media acclaim one month in advance of a Hall of Fame vote that ultimately elected Hodges to Cooperstown, a recognition that the film noted was long overdue.

Rob then discusses some of Spirit Juice’s other projects, including the Emmy Award-winning film Salve Regina, that tells the story of a skateboarding Friar of the Immaculate. Rob also digs into his own background and talks about how he became interested in video production, why he chose to form a production company devoted to Catholic content and how he finds joy in his work.

They also discuss Juice Box, a Catholic children’s show that Spirit Juice is hoping to produce to help catechize young Catholic kids. One episode has already been shot and Spirit Juice is currently raising funds to shoot two more episodes in the spring.

We are grateful to Catholic Chicago Radio for the opportunity to discuss the work of Spirit Juice and share our recent projects with a wider audience.
